6:30pm - Confessions in English

 

7:30pm - High Mass, celebrated by Fr Dennis Carabott.  The Pilippino choir "PAKAT PINOY" will provide music and singing throughout the mass.  Immediately following mass, a demonstration with the small statue of St. John in the church car park will occur.   The statue of St. John will be lifted onto the pedestal during the demonstration.  The evening celebrations will close with complimentary tea, coffee and pastizzi in the Parish Hall, to which all attendees are invited.  Soft drinks, beer and whisky will be sold at the bar. 

 

Saturday 21stJune, 2008

6:30pm - Dinner Dance at the Lakeside Reception Centre on Keilor Melton Road, Taylors Lakes.  This wonderful evening of celebrations will consist of a five-course meal, music and dancing.  Musical entertainment by Boys Next Door Band and DJ and the Fiesta Brass Band Inc. will be the highlight.  The brass band will play popular Maltese marches, while the small statue of St. John is paraded amongst the people.  The direct telephone link with Radio Prekursur will occur this evening.  This will be transmitted throughout Malta & Gozo.

 

Sunday 22nd June 2008

2:30pm - The formalities will commence involving the introduction of the symbols and DVD footage of St. John's birth and Jesus' Baptism.

3:00pm - Fr. John Taliana assisted by Mr. Emmanuel Farrugia will celebrate the Solemn High Mass.  The Philippino choir "PANGKAT PINOY" will provide us with music and singing throughout the mass.  The traditional procession will begin immediately after the Mass with the Maltese Own Band and The St. Albans Melita Band.  A fantastic fireworks display will dazzle those who attend at the end of the procession.  The evenings celebrations will conclude in the Parish Hall where there will be the brass bands and a DJ.  The bar will be open for the sale of food and drinks.
