Friday 19th June, 2009

6:30pm – Confessions in English

7:30pm –  Mass, celebrated by Fr Raymond Zammit MSSP. The Pilippino choir “PAKAT PINOY” will provide the music and singing throughout the mass.  Immediately following mass, a demonstration with the small statue of St. John in the church car park will occur. The evening celebrations will close with the band performing in the hall.  Complimentary tea, coffee and pastizzi will be provided.  Soft drinks, beer and whisky will be sold at the bar for your convenience.. 

Saturday 20th  June, 2009

6:30pm – Our Dinner Dance at the Lakeside Reception Centre on Keilor Melton Road, Taylors Lakes. Will be a spectacular night.  This wonderful evening of celebrations will consist of a five-course meal, music and dancing.  Musical entertainment by DJ Tony  and the Maltese Brass Band Inc. will be the highlight.  The brass band will play popular Maltese marches, while the small statue of St. John is paraded amongst the people.  The direct telephone link with Radio Prekursur will occur this evening.  This will be transmitted throughout Gozo. 

Sunday 21st June, 2009

2:30pm—Formalities prior to the Mass will commence including the Bringing up of symbols, DVD of St. John’s life  and Prayer of St. John.  3:00pm –Fr. John Taliana will celebrate the Solemn High Mass.  The Philippino choir “PANGKAT PINOY” will provide us with music and singing throughout the mass.  The traditional procession will begin immediately after the Mass with the Malta-Gozo City of Brimbank Concert Band and The St.Albans Melita Band Incorporated. A fireworks show will dazzle those who attend at the end of the procession.  The evenings celebrations will conclude in the Parish Hall where there will be both brass bands and a DJ.  The bar will be open for the sale of food and drinks.
